Storytelling

I grew up in an intertribal family and community. Family and tribal stories were told when we gathered on the weekends. These stories of leadership demonstrated the strength of my ancestors through devastating times. Their resiliency helped me learn I could make good decisions, rely on my culture, and become a good role model and community member. So, as an author, I infuse my writing with themes of strength and resiliency, family love, and cultural values. I want kids to realize these themes as their own unique superpowers they can rely on.
